EVAN PUGH PROFESSOR GEORGE ANDREWS of the Pennsylvania State University, is the world's greatest authority in the theory of partitions and work of the Indian mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan. He has also contributed significantly to mathematics education, and has been recognized by the Mathematical Association of America as an outstanding teacher. He received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Florida in December 2002, and was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2003.
