On Saturday, 9 February 2002, the Departments of Physics and Mathematics at the University of Florida celebrated John Klauder's seventieth birthday by holding a one-day symposium in his honor.

On that Saturday night there was a reception in John Klauder's honor at the Keene Faculty Center.
