Subject: Prof. Bona wins HHMI award


Dear All, 

I am delighted to inform you that Professor Miklos Bona has 
won the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Award for 
mentoring. The HHMI award worth $10,000 will be given to him 
over a two year period. Prof. Randy Duran of Chemistry is one 
of those on our campus who is heading an HHMI program at UF 
and he gave me the good news. Prof. Bona is an outstanding mentor 
and on your behalf I congratulate him for this well deserved 
recognition.
