Days 1 - 5

THIRTY YEARS AGO me (Frank), Pat, Jim and Chris (there might have been others but they escape me) began our bike journey across Australia.

DAY 1: Thursday, December 2nd, 1976
We left Coogee Beach at noon. Arrived at Pat's sister's place at Warimoo before sunset.

DAY 2: Friday, December 3rd
Only made it to Lithgow due to bad head wind. Jim hitched onto Bathurst and Chris caught the train.

DAY 3: Saturday, December 4th
Arrived Bathurst 2pm. We stayed overnight at a friend's farm.

DAY 4: Sunday, December 5th
Arrived Cowra at 7pm. Camped at the local caravan park near the river.

DAY 5: Monday, December 6th
Arrived Caragabal at 7pm. Locals in the pub suggested we camp at the rec grounds.
