The components of the generating function for partitions
|
ABSTRACT:
Atkin and Swinnerton-Dyer's method
for computing the t-dissection of the generating function for the partition
function is
based on expressing a power series as a polynomial whose coefficients are also
power series.
We follow the same method to get the components for the cases
$t=11$ and $t=13$.
We are able to simplify the form and obtain some congruence properties.
We explain the relations among the components by using the action of a
certain subgroup of $SL_2(Z)$.
