Title Of Talk: (q,t)-binomial cofficients

Abstract: Motivated by the invariant theory of GL_n(q) on the polynomial ring in n variables over a finite field, a (q,t)-binomial coefficient is defined. A combinatorial interpretation for the (q,t)-binomial coefficient is given, as a generating function for partitions. As a corollary, a new interpretation of the integer which is the q-binomial coefficient, when q is a positive integer, as counting partitions, is given.
