Professor George Andrews
of The Pennsylvania State University will be visiting
the mathematics department from January 27 until the
end of March. He will give four lectures during this

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Professor George Andrews, one of the most
eminent mathematicians, is arguably the world's leading authority
in the theory of partitions and the work of the Indian mathematical
genius Srinivasa Ramanujan. He is a Member of the National Academy
of Sciences. His work has had major impact not only in various
branches of mathematics, but also in other fields, such as
mathematical physics.
