Professor George Andrews
of The Pennsylvania State University will be visiting
the mathematics department from January 25 until the
end of March, 2007. Professor Andrews will give six lectures, of which one
will be a Colloquium and five will be in the Number Theory and Combinatorics

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
George Andrews
is the world's premier authority
in the theory of partitions and the work of the Indian mathematical
genius Srinivasa Ramanujan. He is a Member of the National Academy
of Sciences. He is Evan Pugh Professor of Mathematics at Penn State
University and a Distinguished Visiting Professor in the UF Math Dept
every year in the Spring term. He was a recipient of an Honorary
Doctorate from UF in 2002.
