QUADRATIC FORMS, SUMS OF SQUARES,
THETA FUNCTIONS AND INTEGRAL
LATTICES WORKSHOP AND CONFERENCE
March 7 - 15, 2009
University of Florida, Gainesville
FUNDING provided by the
National Science Foundation
(PI: Krishnaswami Alladi; CoPI: Pham Huu Tiep).

SERIES OF FOUR
LECTURES (one each morining)
on the general geometry of quadratic forms, and properties of them over local
and global fields and rings of integers.
His lectures will be supplemented
by Professor Hershel Farkas (Hebrew University,
Jerusalem) who will lecture on Riemann's Theta Functions
on two
of the afternoons, and by Professor Roger Baker
(Brigham Young University) who will give the two
remaining afternoon lectures at the Workshop.
The Conference on Quadratic Forms, Sums of Squares, Theta Functions and Integral Lattices will be from
Wednesday, March 11 to Sunday, March 15.
The Workshop and Conference are part of a year long
Program in
Algebra, Number Theory and Combinatorics.
